Bio
Michael Hayes is a dedicated Workers' Compensation attorney whose practice is rooted in protecting the rights, dignity, and livelihoods of working people. Michael brings sharp legal skills, relentless advocacy, and compassion to every case he handles.
A Montgomery County native, Michael pursued a legal career to advocate for the working class. He earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law while working full-time in Rockville. As a Student-Attorney, he advocated for vulnerable community members in the school's Immigrant Justice Clinic. After graduation, he gained hands-on litigation and courtroom experience while clerking for the Honorable Krystal Alves in the Prince George's County Circuit Court, an experience that provided invaluable insight into judicial decision-making and trial practice.
Michael's background reflects his commitment to public service, community, and justice; values that continue to guide his work in Workers' Compensation law. He approaches each case with patience, preparation, and a fierce determination to secure the best possible outcome for his clients.
Michael is actively engaged in the legal community. He is currently the Recording Secretary of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association and is involved with several other professional and community organizations. Outside the office, Michael loves cooking, traveling, and discovering artists and songs from all genres of music. He is also an avid sports fan, whose support of local teams has strengthened his community ties and his ability to endure even the most emotionally demanding challenges.
