Bio
Sergio Ballón works in our Workers’ Compensation department, where he is dedicated to defending workers’ rights. His commitment to labor advocacy began before attending law school at the University of Maryland.
Prior to attending law school, Sergio Ballón worked at an employment law firm in Maryland, where he defended the rights of Maryland and Washington D.C. workers who faced discrimination, wage theft, wrongful termination, and whistleblowing, among other challenges.
During law school, Sergio Ballón was a Peggy Brown Fund fellow and worked as a law clerk for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, where he supported unionized workers throughout the collective bargaining process.
Born in La Paz, Bolivia to a Bolivian father and Colombian mother, Sergio Ballón is fluent in both English and Spanish.
